Mother Nature prevailed on the final day of the Rex Edward Matautia Invitational.
Kodiak baseball’s Saturday matchup against Colony was canceled due to snow on Baranof Field. That game would have closed out the tournament.
Instead of playing games on Friday, Kodiak, Colony and Wasilla opted to practice.
Kodiak finished the tournament with an 0-3 record. Wasilla went 3-0, while Colony was 1-1.
Kodiak opens Southcentral Conference play Thursday and Friday against Kenai. Thursday’s game starts at 5 p.m. at Baranof Field. Friday’s game is at noon.
