After dropping the first two games of the State 16 Boys Basketball  COVID Championships in Bellevue, Washington, Kodiak caught fire.

Kodiak’s summer team defeated Neah Bay 69-61 on Saturday and Aberdeen on Sunday.

Kodiak’s bronze tournament started with a 75-33 loss to a talented Blaine squad and a tough 35-34 defeat to Friday Harbor.

Coach David Anderson said Friday Harbor beat Kodiak on layup at the buzzer.

Kodiak wraps up its trip to the Lower 48 with games against Mt. Baker, Anacortes, Cedercrest and Nooksack before returning to the island at the end of the week.
