City of Kodiak firefighters on scene of a home that had caught fire Tuesday night.

City of Kodiak firefighters knocked down a house fire Tuesday night, according to city officials.

No one was injured, but the family that lived at 224 W. Rezanof Drive was displaced on Tuesday night when the house at that address caught fire.

A call was made to the 911 dispatch at 8:22 pm that night, and within 2 minutes fire fighters were on site, according to Fire Chief James Mullican. At that time smoke and flames were coming from the side of the house.

The flames were close to the Best Western Kodiak Inn and Convention Center’s parking lot, but the fire did not spread. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
