Stiles-Clark auction

DEREK CLARKSTON/Kodiak Daily Mirror

On Saturday night, the Afognak Native Corp. building on Near Island had a 1950s feel for the 38th Stiles-Clark Auction. Eager bidders were dressed in garb from the 1950s and entertained by a live band playing music from that era. The Stiles-Clark Auction raises money for the Spouses Association of Kodiak, which helps with the U.S. Coast Guard Base Kodiak’s “Santa to the Villages” Christmas program. Money raised at the auction also will go toward scholarships for two Kodiak High School seniors and two Coast Guard spouses for continuing education.
