A month after the first COVID-19 case was diagnosed in Alaska, Kodiak still has no confirmed cases. As of Wednesday, 41 people in Kodiak had been tested for COVID-19. Nine tests are pending, and the rest returned a negative result.

The Kodiak Emergency Services Council is taking steps to prepare for a possible outbreak in Kodiak, according to council chair Mike Tvenge, who addressed the community in a live broadcast that was streamed on Facebook and the KMXT radio station at noon on Thursday.
