Longtime Alaskan and Kenai resident, Mr. Don Baker, 87, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at his home in Old Town Kenai with his son by his side.
No public services are planned at this time.
Don was born August 15, 1934, in Ada, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army and moved to Alaska in 1972. He lived in Kodiak from 1977 to 1997 before moving to Kenai. He worked and retired from Continental Telephone and Glacier State Telephone. Don loved Cars, BBQ and Driving.
The son wrote, “Don passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. His life included years of work for the telephone company in many communities throughout Alaska. His family and friends will miss him.”
Don is survived by his son, Craig (Theresa) Baker of Kenai and brother, Larry Baker of Bakersfield, California.
