The Stuart Lutton Golf Tournament is back.

The tournament didn’t happen in 2012, but returns this weekend at the Bear Valley Golf Course.

This is a 36-hole tournament that features four divisions — men’s championship, first and second flights and a women’s division. This is the 13th edition of the tournament.

The first round of 18 begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, while the final round is 8 a.m. Sunday.

The tournament is named after Stuart Lutton, a manager at Kodiak King Crab and head of Ocean Beauty Alaska before he died in 1993.

Proceeds from the tournament go to the Stuart Lutton Scholarship.

Dustin Roberson is the defending men’s champion. He claimed the title in 2012 with a score of 152.

Kriss Larsen won the women’s title in 2012.

This is the first of two Kodiak golf majors. The Island Golf Championship is over Labor Day Weekend.

Registration goes until 8 a.m. Saturday at the Bear Valley Golf Course.

A seafood buffet ends the tournament on Sunday.
