July 6

Alaska Wildlife Troopers from Kodiak contacted Michael Putzer, 52 of Aberdeen, Washington, during a commercial vessel boarding. An investigation revealed Putzer was operating his commercial vessel without the vessel identification numbers visible. Putzer was issued a citation for failure to display vessel identification numbers with bail set at $210.

July 8

Kodiak AWT contacted Gordon Naumoff, 33, of Old Harbor, during a commercial vessel boarding. Investigation revealed Naumoff was participating in the commercial salmon fishery without his commercial fishing crew license onboard. Naumoff was issued a citation for no commercial crewmember license with bail set at $260. The captain, Jerry Christiansen age 34 of Kodiak was issued a citation for employing an unlicensed crewmember with bail set at $260.

Kodiak AWT contacted Allen Christiansen, 50, of Old Harbor, concerning his subsistence Dungeness crab gear. Investigation found Christiansen was operating subsistence Dungeness crab pots in Barling Bay that did not have the proper identification on the buoys and no bio escape mechanism on the pots themselves. Christiansen was issued to citations, one for No Gear ID and the other for No Bio Escape Mechanism. Total bail for both offenses is $220.

July 12

Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 GMC Pickup for and equipment violation on Rezanof Drive. The driver was identified as Richard Descloux, 51, of Kodiak. Subsequent investigation revealed that Descloux was operating the vehicle without a valid driver's license. He was issued a misdemeanor citation to appear in Kodiak District Court for driving without a valid operator's license. Descloux was then released from the scene. A passenger with a valid license drove the vehicle away from the incident.

Kodiak troopers responded to a reported assault at a residence on Shoreline Drive. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 26-year-old Kodiak resident Amber Jenamarie McGraw. McGraw was transported to the Kodiak City Jail and remanded on the charge of fourth-degree assault/domestic violence, and criminal mischief 5th degree/ domestic violence. McGraw was held without bail pending and arraignment. The troopers added that alcohol was a factor.
