• At 3:25 a.m., a bear raided a trashcan in the 2000 block of Mill Bay Road and then fled into the woods.

• At 11:15 a.m., police warned a driver on Larch Street for having a brake light out and not stopping completely at a stop sign.

• At 12:23 p.m., officers patrolled the Bells Flats area for animal violations.

• At 1:35 p.m., police cited a driver on West Marine Way for not registering her vehicle and having no proof of insurance.

• At 1:58 p.m., police warned a driver on Mill Bay Road about a broken taillight.

• At 3:11 p.m., police warned a driver on Mill Bay Road for speeding.

• At 3:19 p.m., police cited a driver on Bartel Avenue for having studded tires and no proof of insurance.

• At 3:48 p.m., officers patrolled the Pasagshak area for animal violations.

• At 4:20 p.m., a caller on Chichenof Street reported two stolen bicycles.

• At 6:29 p.m., a caller reported an open container. Two men on Chichenof Street were subsequently cited.

• At 6:57 p.m., police responded to a bear sighting in the 100 block of Benny Benson Drive. It was gone when police arrived.

• At 10:09 p.m., police received two complaints about two annoying dogs on Malutin Lane. The owner was located and said she’d take care of it.

• Around 10:31 p.m., police conducted seven bar checks downtown.
