Gov. Sean Parnell reappointed Kodiak’s Sue Jeffrey to the Alaska Board of Fisheries Wednesday, according to a press release from the office of the governor.

Jeffrey has lived in Kodiak since 1972 and has served on many local boards and committees throughout the years. She is a two-term member of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly and sat on the Kodiak Fishery Advisory Committee while in office. She is also a commercial salmon fisherman, and she and her husband have fished their Kodiak set net site since 1987.

Reed Morisky of Fairbanks and John Jensen of Petersburg were also reappointed to the Board of Fisheries.

Parnell also announced the appointment of David Brown of Wrangell and the reappointment of Ted Spraker of Soldotna and Stanley “Stosh” Hoffman from Bethel to the Board of Game.
