Kodiak to compete at state Special Olympics games

Kodiak’s Special Olympics contingent is competing at the Special Olympics Alaska Winter Games in Anchorage beginning today.

Kodiak will be represented with a floor hockey team and in the snowshoeing competition at Kincaid Park.

The floor hockey games are held at East Anchorage High School.

This is the 10th anniversary of Kodiak’s floor hockey team capturing the gold medal at the 2001 Special Olympics World Winter Games. The games were held in Anchorage.
