Turkey Bowl Flag Football Tournament

Kodiak’s First Turkey Bowl Classic Flag Football Tournament will be held at Joe Floyd Track and Field starting Nov. 23 and 24. This will be a 7-on-7 flag football single elimination tournament. All teams must register at the Teen Center. All players must sign a waiver before playing. Players on each team must be wearing the same color shirt or jersey, or pennies will be provided. Gym Events

Morning Powerball in the Middle school gym on Sundays from 7 to 9 a.m. and on Wednesday and Friday from 6 to 7:30 a.m. Paul Chervenak is in charge. Powerball is for adult and high school players who have played organized ball.

Open Tennis will be held at North Star on Sundays from 1 – 7 p.m. This is for players wishing to enhance their play in a pickup style of competition. 1 – 4 p.m. is for students/ Intermediate players and 4 – 7 p.m. will be for adult/ advanced players. Steve Johnston is in charge.

Indoor Soccer is held in the North Star gym on Sundays from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Seth Minyard is the supervisor.

Youth Open Gym

Sunday: 1-5 p.m. at East Elementary. Starting Dec will move to Middle School from 4-8

Tuesday: 7-8:30 p.m. at Main Elementary.

Leagues

City League Volleyball: City League will tentatively start on Dec. 16th. The A division is for upper level players, men or women, and plays games on Tuesday night. Fees for A division are $300 per team. B and C divisions are co-ed with a minimum of 2 women on the court. Teams play Monday or Wednesday nights. B and C division fees are $300 per team and $150 for student teams. Registration forms and additional information will be available at the pool.

Baranof Ice Rink

Teen Center

Infant/Toddler-Play Group: meets every Monday and Friday from 10 to noon. This is to provide a socialization opportunity for infants and toddlers (from one- month to four-year-olds) as well as enhancing their motor skills thru play time with other children. Bring your own balls and riding toys.

Private Parties: The Teen Center is also available for private celebrations in four hour blocks on Saturday from 1 pm to 5pm and Sunday 4 pm to 8 pm. The four hours includes set up, event and clean up within those four hours. Fees are $100 per four hour block for groups up to 50 participants. Reservations for groups from 50 to 100 participants must have Director approval and are twice the fee. A cleaning deposit of $100 is required and scheduling is on a first come first serve basis. All rules of the Teen Center apply.

Friday Art At the Teen Center The Teen Center is hosting arts and craft times with different sponsoring organizations beginning at 4 and running till 6 pm.

Art w/ Ms Liz from Main Elementary Have fun with Ms. Liz doing free arts and Crafts from 4:00 to 5:00.

Meeting with the Minds is held on Friday at the Teen Center from 5:00-6:00 PM. Local artists (ages 16 and up) to come in and discuss their personal art styles, and perhaps learn something new. All we ask is that you bring your own materials.

Friday After- School Program is held at the teen center at 4:00 p.m. This program is for 6th to 9th grade hosted by KANA.

Open Dance Studio: Saturday at 1:00 pm -2:00 p.m.

Early Riser Racquetball: Saturday mornings at the Teen Center from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:30 to 8 a.m. For information call Craig Johnson at 486-4826.
