Twenty unanswered runs by Abbott-O-Rabbit ended the Kodiak Junior Little League All-Star team's stay at the District I Finals Thursday in Anchorage.
Up 11-0, Abbott-O-Rabbit stormed back to steal a 20-11 win over Kodiak in a consolation game.
The loss sent Kodiak home with a 3-4 record in pool and tournament play.
Sean Walton led Kodiak's 13-hit attack with three singles and two RBIs. Zach Griswold, Louis Rocheleau each had two hits and two RBIs, while Josh Smith hit a pair of singles.
Derek Rastopsoff belted a two-run homer in Kodiak's four-run second that put it up 11-0.
Kodiak held the lead until the sixth inning when Abbott-O-Rabbit erupted for seven runs.
Abbott-O-Rabbit pounded out 25 hits off of Kodiak pitchers Louis Rocheleau, Josh Smith, Shaun Walton and TJ Foxworthy.
Abbott-O-Rabbit went onto lose to Dimond-West, 6-5, in the championship game.
Knik won the District I Finals with a pair of victories over Dimond-West Saturday in Eagle River.
Knik won the first game, 14-8, to force the "if necessary" game, a game it won 11-1.
