Tucker VanMatre concluded his collegiate wrestling career over the weekend.

VanMatre, a senior at Southern Oregon University, went 1-2 at the NAIA National Championships in Topeka, Kansas.

The Kodiak High School graduate received an opening-round bye in the 184-pound bracket before losing 3-1 in the second round. The loss dropped him to the consolation bracket.

VanMatre won his first match in the consolation bracket, 4-3, then ended his career with a 5-3 loss.

Southern Oregon placed fourth.
