Kodiak’s track and field team was weathered out of the Skyview Invitational.

The Bears did not make the trip to the Peninsula due to poor weather conditions in Kodiak on Friday. Kodiak watied at the airport for more than three hours before its flight was canceled.

Instead, the traveling team competed against the remainder of Kodiak’s team at the third mini-meet of the season for the Bears.

Senior Jaymi Bethea lowered her 1,600-meter state-leading time to 5 minutes, 17.71 seconds.

At the Skyiew Invite, the Palmer Moose won the boys title, while Wasilla took the girls title.

On Friday and Saturday, Kodiak hosts South Anchorage in a dual meet at Joe Floyd Track and Field.
