The Division II state football championship game is set. 

Soldotna and Lathrop punched tickets to the Oct. 19 title game with convincing semifinal victories over the weekend. 

Soldotna, the defending seven-time state champion, disposed of West Valley 54-22 to improve to 8-0 on the season. 

Lathrop, the Railbelt Conference, moved to 5-3 with a 54-10 win over Eagle River, last year’s state runner-up. 

Soldotna defeated Lathrop 51-14 in Week 4 of the regular season. 

The Division III championship game will feature undefeated Houston and Barrow.

The Hawks moved to 9-0 with a 64-21 thrashing of defending champion Eielson. Barrow blanked Nikiski 52-0 and improved to 7-1. 

The Division III title game is at noon, while the Division II game kicks at 4 p.m. Both games will be played at the Anchorage Football Stadium. 



Anchorage schools won three of the four Division I quarterfinal games. 

South Anchorage topped Juneau 54-14, Service turned away Chugiak 42-7 and West Anchorage throttled Bartlett 42-6. 

Colony upended defending champion East Anchorage 28-27. 

In semifinal games this weekend, Colony plays Service and West Anchorage battles South Anchorage.
