Kodiak Special Olympics earns 21 gold medals

Kodiak’s Special Olympics contingent captured 21 gold medals at the state summer games in Anchorage on Saturday.

Leading the way was the powerlifting group that accounted for 18 golds.

Aharon Dolph won the most golds with five, while Chris Kavanaugh, Billy Marsh and Amy Canavan each won four gold medals.

Bernie Graham won two golds, while Nick Berestoff and Derrick Blondin each won one gold medal.
