A pair of Stars rushed for more than 100 yards to lead Soldotna past Kodiak 44-7 in a Northern Lights Conference football game on the Kenai Peninsula. 

Soldotna increased its state-best winning streak to 55 games and improved to 2-0 in the NLC, 6-0 overall. 

Kodiak, a week after holding off Kenai 27-22, dropped to 1-2 in the NLC, 2-4 overall. 

Brenner Furlong rushed for 167 yards and a score, while Aaron Faletoi pumped in 102 rushing yards. Soldotna had 462 yards of offense.  

Kodiak garnered 224 yards of offense, with running back Derek Rastopsoff motoring for 101 yards and his team’s only touchdown, a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter.
