Kodiak High School’s soccer club will take to the pitch Saturday with four matches on the Kenai Peninsula.

Both the girls and boys clubs are playing Seward and Homer in friendly matches at Homer High School.

The games are scrimmages, because Kodiak soccer is not a sanctioned sport.

This is the first matches of the season for Kodiak’s girls club, while the boys club played two games at Nikiski earlier this season. The boys lost to the Nikiski’s varsity and beat the Bulldogs’ junior varsity.

The girls play Seward at 10 a.m. and Homer at 4 p.m., while the boys play Seward at noon and Homer at 6 p.m.
