Kodiak High School’s baseball team clinched the Southcentral Conference South Division title earlier this week.

The Bears sealed up the top spot when Soldotna blanked Kenai, 10-0, in a conference game on Tuesday.

Kodiak is 7-1 in the conference, 10-6 overall. The Bears swept the South Division — Kenai, Soldotna and Homer. Every other team in the south has at least three losses.

Kodiak will enter the conference tournament that begins May 29 as the south’s No. 1 seed and will play the North Division’s No. 4 seed.

The Bears’ next game is at home on May 22 against Wasilla.
