The Kodiak Hockey League season ended over the weekend for the 10U B team at the state tournament. 

The 10U went 1-4 at its tournament at the Kevin Bell Arena in Homer. 

The island squad opened with a 9-0 victory over Homer, then fell to Jr. Avs 7-3, Palmer 2-0, Moose 8-0 and Mat-Su 9-3. 

Marlus Sanford led the 10U team with nine points (eight goals, one assist). Easton Frost (two assists), Charlotte Deemer (two assists), Maddox Deemer (two goals) and Tyler Demerest (two goals) all contributed two points, while Lucas Cook, Kieran Hayden and Lilliana Kettenacker each scored a goal. 

Collin Gibbs and Charli McCarthy added one assist each.

Goalie Lilliana Kettenacker saved 30 of 40 shots, while Amelia Schoeffel saved 21 of 37 shots. 

Cy Simeonoff was also on the squad. 

The team was coached by Brandon Cook, Don Kettenacker, Jeff Sanford and James Demerest. 

Alaska State Hockey canceled the remainder of its state tournaments because of the coronavirus pandemic. Kodiak’s 14U team was supposed to compete in a state tournament Friday in Fairbanks.
