This was Wilde’s first physique show and first bodybuilding show since she won Ms. Alaska in 2010.
“I did win, because I did it,” Wilde said.
Wilde was edged by former Kodiak resident Sarah Jo Theis in the seven-person field.
“The girl that won, she is pretty experienced,” Wilde said. “She has done several competitions at the national level.”
Wilde said she will do a physique competition again, but noted she is still trying to figure out what the judges are looking for.
Wilde’s biggest accomplishment came when she took the stage to perform her 60-second routine in front of a packed Wendy Williamson Auditorium.
“I was proud of myself, I didn’t shake at all,” she said.
In other bodybuilding news, on Saturday, Kodiak’s Lindsay Knight will compete at the Emerald Cup Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure, Bikini and Physique Championships in Bellevue, Wash.
