Monday, July 2

• At 12:42 p.m. an officer gave a warning about the leash law on Marine Way.

• At 1:25 p.m. a verbal warning was given to a man driving while license cancelled on Marine Way.

• At 1:36 p.m. a phone call was received reporting four men on Center Avenue passing around a marijuana joint. Four people were smoking tobacco. No marijuana was present.

• At 2:12 p.m. a vehicle was cited for a parking violation on Marine Way.

• At 2:40 p.m. paper service was attempted on Larch Street.

• At 2:44 p.m. there was a loose dog on Larch Street. The owner called the dog inside.

• At 2:47 p.m. a warrant was served to an inmate at KPD Jail.

• At 2:47 p.m. a summons was served to an inmate at the jail.

• At 2:48 p.m. a phone call was received and a man on Cedar Street was taken into protective custody.

• At 2:49 p.m. a phone call was received and a man on East Rezanof Drive was taken into protective custody.

• At 3:16 p.m. someone found a bank card on Center Avenue. KPD shredded it at bank’s request.

• At 5:22 p.m. a subpoena was served to an inmate at KPD Jail.

• At 5:32 p.m. subpoena service was attempted on Marine Way.

• At 5:39 p.m. subpoena service was attempted on Carolyn Street.

• At 5:52 p.m. a phone call was received reporting a truck on its side on East Rezanof Drive. Report was unfounded.

• At 5:53 p.m. a woman was cited for studded tires on Selief Lane.

• At 8:34 p.m. a phone call was received reporting a vehicle swerving all over the road on Mill Bay Road. Vehicle was gone when officer arrived.

• At 8:45 a phone call was received reporting a vehicle driving erratically on Mill Bay Road. Vehicle was gone when officer arrived.

• At 9:10 p.m. a phone call was received from a man reporting being punched in the face on East Rezanof Drive. Officers were unable to gather any evidence to support his claim. No injuries were present. Report unfounded.

• At 9:55 p.m. a phone call was received from a woman reporting resident discharging fireworks on Hemlock Street. All was quiet and there were no signs of fireworks.

• At 10:52 p.m. a 911 call was received reporting a drunk man was driving a truck on East Rezanof Drive. Officers had no contact with the vehicle.

• At 11:15 p.m. a phone call was received requesting an officer stand by for him to gather his belongings from a residence on Woody Way, since the resident had been drinking heavily.

• At 11:23 p.m. the same as man as in the previous called and reported being kicked by another man. It was mutual combat and the situation was resolved.

Tuesday, July 3

• At 8:57 a.m. there was a loose dog on Selief Lane. Dog was reunited with its owner.

• At 9:19 a.m. paper service was attempted on Purtov Street.

• At 9:19 a.m. a phone call was received reporting a man was driving with a suspended license on East Rezanof Drive. When officers found the vehicle another person was driving.

• At 9:40 a.m. paper was served on Center Avenue.

• At 11 a.m. an arrest warrant was served on Carolyn Street.

• At 1:02 p.m. officers were searching for campsites on Near Island. They found one and left a note.

• At 1:23 p.m. someone found an ID and fishing license on Mill Bay Road. An attempt to contact the owner was unsuccessful.

• At 2:34 p.m. a phone call was received from a woman reporting a man called her, said he was having a seizure and was suicidal on Marine Way. Report unfounded. The man was just looking for a place to sleep.

• At 2:46 p.m. an abandoned vehicle on Alimaq Drive was red-tagged.

• At 4:15 p.m. paper was served on Rezanof Drive.

• At 4:31 p.m. a vehicle was parked in a taxi stand on Marine Way. It was moved on request.

• At 454 p.m. a phone call was received from Anchorage Police Department saying they recovered a firearm that was reported stolen in Kodiak in 2009.

• At 5:16 p.m. an officer was with a man sleeping on a bench on Marine Way. He was new in town and was waiting for the shelter to open.

• At 5:24 p.m. someone was taking a break watching a movie on Gibson Cove Road.

• At 5:39 p.m. an officer gave a camping advisement on Cedar Street.

• At 5:41 p.m. a phone call was received and a summons served to an inmate at KPD Jail.

• At 6:47 p.m. a 911 call was received and a woman was cited for no insurance and for failure to exercise due caution at Mill Bay Road and Rezanof Drive.

• At 7:34 p.m. a 911 call was received reporting an intoxicated man lying in the hall talking to himself on Kashevaroff Avenue. He left on officer’s request.

•At 7:57 p.m. a man was cited for speeding and no insurance on Mill Bay Road.

• At 8:13 p.m. a phone call was received requesting an officer remove someone from a residence on Selief Lane. Another resident invited them.

• At 8:22 p.m. a phone call was received reporting a man was lying by a parked car in a parking lot on Thorsheim Street. He did not meet protective custody criteria.

• At 9:16 p.m. a 911 call was received reporting a man refused to leave on Cedar Street and had been trespassed. He left on officer’s request.

• At 10:15 p.m. a phone call was received reporting a man was banging on caller’s door on Woody Way. Before officers arrived, caller called back stating he had left.

• At 10:24 p.m. a phone call was received from a man reporting an assault against him on East Rezanof Derive because he supposedly stole items from the assailant three or four years ago. The parties separated.

• At 11:12 p.m. a phone call was received reporting fireworks somewhere near East Addition Park. They were at Mission Beach, out of city limits.

Wednesday,

July 4

• At 12:08 a.m. a phone call was received reporting neighbors were setting off fireworks on Selief Lane. An officer advised them to take the rest out of city limits.

• At 3:39 a.m. a woman was arrested on Woody Way for parole violation.

• At 8:35 a.m. a phone call was received reporting theft of a jacket, cash, ID cellphone and a friend’s ATV on Thorsheim Street. Under investigation.

• At 9:17 a.m. a man was cited for passing in a no passing zone on West Rezanof Drive.

• At 9:55 a.m. a phone call was received reporting an intoxicated man had hit his head on Mission Road. There were no injuries. The person was admonished for calling daily with imagined injuries.

• At 11 a.m. officers assisted with traffic control for the parade on Marine Way.

• At 12:56 p.m. someone reported two intoxicated man on Cedar Street wouldn’t leave. An officer called for medics due to high level of intoxication.

• At 2:10 p.m. a man on Marine Way was given an open container advisement and his alcohol was dumped.

• At 2:54 p.m. a phone call was received and a man on East Rezanof Drive was taken into protective custody.

• At 4:32 p.m. a phone call was received from someone who reported seeing an intoxicated woman driving on Mill Bay Road. Officers were unable to locate her.

• At 4:38 p.m. a phone call was received from a woman who claimed her vehicle was stolen on Carolyn Street. She called back and said it was returned.

• At 4:49 p.m. someone turned in a wallet found on Marine Way. It was place into property.

• At 6:13 a.m. someone reported his vehicle was hit earlier in the day on Shelikof Street. He wanted logged for insurance.

• At 6:20 p.m. a phone call was received reporting her vehicle had been stolen on Mission Road. Her family had permission to drive but she called several of them and no one had it. A relative she didn’t know was in town had taken it and had permission.

• At 8:19 p.m. a phone call was received reporting a ring found at Baranof Park. It was placed in property.
