At 12:48 a.m., a caller reported a drunken driver on Mission Road. Officers arrested a male for driving while intoxicated and refusing to take an alcohol breath test.

At 9:51 a.m., a caller reported a hit and run on Center Avenue and wanted it logged for insurance purposes.

At 10:42 a.m., officers helped with traffic control during the Fourth of July parade on Marine Way.

At 12:21 p.m., officers received a call of debris on Rezanof Drive West and removed it from the roadway.

At 12:27 p.m., officers stopped a driver on Shelikof Street and told the driver to remove the studded tires from the car.

From 2:16 p.m.to 2:38 p.m., officers conducted bar checks on Center Avenue and West Marine Way.

At 2:51 p.m., the Kodiak Police Department received a notice of found property on Pillar Mountain. The department took possession of a credit card and driver’s license.

At 3:37 p.m., police investigated a report of a car stolen from Selief Lane. The caller wanted to report the car stolen and to press charges against the driver but called back and said she changed her mind.

At 4:52 p.m., officers took a report of animal abuse on Chiniak Highway but found no evidence of abuse when they arrived to investigate.

At 5:22 p.m., officers took a call of reckless endangerment on Near Island but when arriving on the island found no endangerment. The incident was deemed “All OK,” according to the police report.

At 6:26 p.m., police ticketed a man on Rezanof Drive East for driving with no proof of insurance.

At 7:08 p.m. during a traffic stop on Thorsheim Street, officers found a man to be driving with expired registration. However, the driver found the new registration still attached to registration paperwork and attached it to the vehicle.

At 7:22 p.m., police ticketed a man on Shelikof Street for driving with expired registration.

At 8:08 p.m., officers took a call of a lost dog at White Sands Beach. After searching for a while, the owner reported she found her dog.

At 10:17 p.m., officers performed a health and safety check on Mill Bay Road that stemmed from a 911 call but confirmed the call was a misdial upon arriving at the scene.

At 10:20 p.m., police responded to a call of fireworks being shot near Carolyn Street and Mill Bay Road but didn’t find any fireworks when they arrived at the scene.

From 10:48 p.m. to 11:02 p.m., officers conducted bar checks on West Marine Way, Center Avenue, Marine Way and Shelikof Street.

At 11:41 p.m., officers arrested a man on charges of driving while intoxicated on Larch Street.
