• At 8:44 a.m., a loose dog was called back inside as police arrived.

• At 9:18 a.m., police cited a vehicle on Marine Way for a traffic offense.

• At 9:23 a.m., police cited a vehicle on Marine Way for a parking violation.

• At 9:32 a.m., police cited a vehicle on Marine Way for a parking violation.

• At 11:45 a.m., a driver on Mill Bay Road was pulled over for reckless driving and cited for no proof of insurance.

• At 11:46 a.m., a loose cat was impounded on Thorsheim Street.

• At 12:27 p.m., a vehicle was cited for excessive window tint on Mill Bay Road.

Tuesday, July 10

• At 12:16 a.m., police responded to a 911 call on Center Avenue. A man reported another man pushed him to the ground, pulled a knife on him and his girlfriend and stole something of his. Nobody wanted to press charges.

• At 2:41 a.m., a man on Marine Way was arrested for a bench warrant.

• At 2:44 a.m., a Kodiak police officer responded to a cabbie who reported his passenger passed out, refuses to wake up and pay his fare. The officer helped the passenger out of the taxi and warned him that he would be charged with theft if he didn’t pay by 4 p.m. the next day.

• At 12:30 p.m., a 911 caller reported a speeding driver on Mill Bay Road.

• At 1:08 p.m., a 911 caller reported a fender bender in a Mill Bay Road parking lot.

• At 1:10 p.m., a man was cited for no proof of insurance and illegal window tint on Mill Bay Road.

• At 1:49 p.m., an officer was flagged down by a resident on Mill Bay Road who wanted to complain about a parking issue.

• At 2:21 p.m., an abandoned vehicle was red-tagged on Larch Street.

• At 2:32 p.m., a dog owner on Mylark Lane was warned about the city’s leash law.

• At 2:42 p.m., a vehicle on Larch Street was cited for a parking issue.

• At 2:45 p.m., a dog owner on Larch Street was warned about the city’s leash law.

• At 3:12 p.m., police assisted a probation officer on Mission Road by arresting a man for violating probation and tampering with evidence.

• At 3:21 p.m. a woman on Rezanof Drive East reported fraudulent charges on her debit card.

• At 3:25 p.m. a vehicle on Shelikof Street was cited for a parking issue.

• At 8:44 p.m., a caller reported people locked in a building on Mission Road. Officers found the building empty and secure.

• At 9:02 p.m., a caller reported a fight in progress on Marine Way West. All was OK when officers arrived.

• At 9:08 p.m., police advised two men against drinking alcohol in public.

• At 9:11 p.m., a caller reported a man on Father Herman Street got out of his vehicle, urinated, then threw a cigarette butt out the window. He was gone when officers arrived.

July 11

• At 12:50 a.m., a caller reported “high stake” gambling in a Hemlock Street home. Only one person was inside when officers arrived.

• At 1:49 a.m., an officer reported gang-style graffiti on a Marine Way West door.

• At 2:04 a.m., a man on Marine Way was advised against urinating in public.

• At 9:04 a.m., a man reported being assaulted by another on Marine Way. The case is under investigation.

• At 10:26 a.m., a vehicle was cited for a traffic offense on Marine Way.

• At 10:51 a.m., a woman said a man violated the restraining order she has against him.

• At 2:13 p.m., a vehicle was cited for a traffic offense.

• At 2:15 p.m., a vehicle was cited for a traffic offense.

• At 2:56 p.m., the animal control officer was out with a loose dog on Larch Street.

• At 3:46 p.m., a loose dog was impounded on Thorsheim Street.

• At 4:06 p.m., a loose dog was impounded on Birch Avenue.

• At 5:21 p.m., a man on Woody Way called 911 because he was worried his girlfriend was suicidal. Officers learned she had not taken pills, just threatened to. She chose to drive herself to the emergency room for help.

• At 6:13 p.m., a driver on Rezanof Drive West was warned against parking in a taxi stand.

• At 6:54 p.m., a woman on Willow Street reported she was sexually assaulted the prior morning. The case is under investigation.

• At 6:58 p.m., a man on Father Herman Street complained that a vehicle was illegally parked on his property.

• At 7:32 p.m., a man was taken into protective custody on Rezanof Drive East.

 

Thursday, July 12

• At 1:44 a.m., officers responded to a vehicle that rolled out of its parking space on Rezanof Drive West.

• At 2:02 a.m., a man on Rezanof Drive East was cited for having no proof of insurance.

• At 5:44 a.m. an officer at Mill Bay Road and Center Avenue removed a barricade from the roadway.

• At 9:01 a.m., an officer notified the owner of spilled gravel on Mill Bay Road that gravel was indeed spilled.

• At 10:24 a.m., a vehicle was cited for a parking violation on Marine Way.

• At 10:29 a.m., a vehicle was cited for a traffic offense on Marine Way.

• At 12:48 p.m., a vehicle was cited for a parking violation on Marine Way.

• At 1:03 p.m., police began investigating a report of suspicious circumstances on Mill Bay Road.

• At 1:06 p.m., a vehicle was cited for a parking violation on Marine Way.

• At 1:25 p.m., a vehicle was cited for a traffic offense on Marine Way.

• At 1:25 p.m., a caller reported a traffic offense on Larch Street; no offense was found.

• At 1:36 p.m., a dog owner was cited for having her dog loose for a third time.

• At 2:14 p.m., an officer removed an old hose from Mill Bay Road.

• At 2:33 p.m., a caller reported people are stealing construction signs, cones and other material from Rezanof Drive.

• At 2:35 p.m., a vehicle was cited for a traffic offense on Marine Way.

• At 2:58 p.m., a man reported hitting a sign with his car at Rezanof Drive and Center Avenue.

• At 3:46 p.m., an officer directed traffic around a disabled car on Mill Bay Road.

• At 3:47 p.m., a caller on Mill Bay Road reported a vehicle has had all its windows broken out and replaced with plastic.

• At 10:48 p.m., a man was arrested for having an open container of alcohol on Marine Way.

 

Friday, July 13

• At 12:49 a.m., a caller on Woody Way reported a loud group of people outside possibly partying; they were gone on arrival.

• At 6:23 a.m., an officer was out on Shelikof Street with a subject who had what was believed to be a rifle; it was an umbrella.

• At 9:03 a.m., an abandoned vehicle was red-tagged on Willow Street.

• At 9:21 a.m., an owner was given a leash-law warning on Mill Bay Road.

• At 9:39 a.m., a vehicle was cited for a traffic offense on Marine Way.
