As I understand it Carol Austerman twice had the opportunity to vote to stop payments made to assembly member Chris Lynch — on Oct. 4, 2012, and again on Oct. 18, 2012. The assembly made a motion to stop any further actions or payments to Chris Lynch under contract No. FY-2012-24. Borough records show Carol Austerman voted “No” to suspend this contract and stop all payments to Chris Lynch.
On Feb 7, 2013, the assembly made a motion to release “privileged” attorney client documents pertaining to the contract with Chris Lynch and borough management, records show Carol Austerman voted “No”. (KDM July 17, 2014) Borough assembly members Carol Austerman and Chris Lynch sponsor and co-sponsor a request for public comment decorum ordinance . I do not personally know assembly members Carol Austerman or Chris Lynch, What I do know is their conduct and voting records as assembly members, which sadly speaks for itself. Any elected official that tries to squelch free speech or engages in questionable conduct needs to be questioned by there constituents period. Representing our community as state legislature District 32 should be a privilege not a birthright! Character, conduct, integrity, and honesty count. Please vote Aug. 19 for the candidate of your choice.
