Sidney Mervin Omlid, 77, died Feb. 28, 2013 at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center. Sid’s life was shortened due to a childhood lung injury. The last couple years he struggled with meeting his oxygen needs. Woman accused of bilking man of $46,000 with bad checks
A Kodiak woman is accused of stealing more than $46,000 by writing forged checks to herself. Maria Drinkwine, 45, was arraigned in Kodiak district court on Monday. She faces 41 felony charges.
