Turkey Trot Thursday
Kodiak’s annual Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving morning. The 5-kilometer run or 2-mile walk begins 10 a.m. Thursday at the Teen Center. The race also finishes at the Tenn Center Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. and is $5 for students and $10 for adults. Proceeds go to the Kodiak High School cross country team. Alumni update: Dunbar misses All-American cross country honors
Trevor Dunbar narrowly missed earning his third consecutive All-American NCAA Division I cross country honors. Dunbar, a senior for the University of Oregon, placed 41st at Saturday’s NCAA Championships in Louisville, Ky. The top 40 competitors earn All-American status. Little League plans winter clinics

A pair of former Kodiak cross county stars earned all-region honors at Saturday’s NCAA Division II West Regional Cross Country Championships in Hawaii.
