Kodiak’s Lindsay Knight won a pair of titles at the Southside Winter Classic Powerlifting Championships Saturday at Southside Strength and Fitness in Anchorage. University of Idaho’s Laura Griffing scored three points in the Vandals’ 165-135 dual meet victory over Fresno State Saturday in California. Griffing, a 2011 Kodiak High School graduate, placed fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1 minute, 9.61 seconds, and sixth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:34.70. Talon Lindquist broke a state swimming record in the Kodiak Kingfishers’ opening swim meet of the season.
