Man injures knee in shooting
A 33-year-old Kodiak man shot himself in the knee with a stolen .44-magnum pistol while allegedly drinking and driving Dec. 19. The name of the man has not been released, pending charges. State-waters cod quota to climb in 2014
Kodiak fishermen will have more chances to catch cod in state waters in 2014. On Tuesday, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game announced a quota of 14.63 million pounds of Pacific cod in Kodiak-area state waters.
