Vice Adm. Paul Zukunft, commander, Coast Guard Pacific Area, presents the award of the Coast Guard Air Medal to Lt. John Filipowicz, an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter pilot at Air Station Kodiak, joined by his wife, Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, in Kodiak, Alaska. Filipowicz was presented the award for his actions to save two people from the fishing vessel Heritage south of Kodiak Jan. 25, 2012, in extreme weather. Man accused of stealing iPhones from GCI
A 28-year-old man is accused of stealing at least six iPhones from the Kodiak GCI store. Micheal Dorris was arraigned in Kodiak district court on Jan. 10 on two counts of second-degree theft.
