Runners, walkers flock to Turkey Trot
Ti Kenese predicted he wouldn’t have any trouble sleeping Thursday evening. And not just because of his post-Thanksgiving Day food coma. Kenese put his body through the ringer by taking part in Kodiak’s annual Turkey Trot 5-kilometer fun run Thursday morning. It was the first time Kenese ran in more than 20 years. What made him blow two decades worth of dust off his running shoes? His 10-year-old daughter, Ariana....

Rain is not a dog’s best friend
I have to clear Gizmo’s name right off the bat. Contrary to popular belief, the pup is not the underwear bandit. As much as he likes to steal and hide stuff around the Clarkston house, I have yet to find a stash of women’s panties under his covers. Now to something of more importance. When I got home from work late Wednesday evening, I had to play therapist to Gizmo. Yes, I’ve stayed at a Holiday Inn. I left the t...

He paraded around the house with his teeth grasping on to the bread. I carefully grabbed it out of his mouth without him taking a bite of one of my digits. Little did I know the little rascal had stashed hamburger buns...
