To the editor:
Our local post office in Kodiak now has an automated answering phone person. I have one question. How does a person communicate with a machine that has no human traits, only the ones fed to it?
You ask a question and what you get about 15 times is, “I’m sorry I didn’t hear that.” This is a joke. I think what they are trying to say is, “Don’t call here at all.” Let’s get back to the old way, person-to-person communication. Post office!
