To the editor,
Bribery, extortion, obstruction, all of which describe what current elected Republicans appear to shamelessly support these days, defending a defenseless, immoral and corrupt president. The big question is, where are elected Republicans true loyalty’s?
Is their loyalty to their country or to a corrupt president? The Republicans obstruction of the inquiry violates their oaths and the law. U.S. code section 3 reads:
“Whoever, knowing that an offense against the United States has been committed, receives, relieves, comforts or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his apprehension, trial or punishment, is an accessory after the fact.”
Are we a nation of laws or are we not? It is time to indict the corrupted officials, both elected and those installed by an unfairly elected president and hold them all accountable to the laws of our nation as accessories after the fact to the presidents crimes.
America is under attack from Russia and testimonies to Congress from multiple sworn witnesses corroborate the Russian attack. Add to that, a bipartisan report on Russian interference in our 2016 elections that concluded that Russian attacks did in fact occur. Russian interference in our elections are being denied by the elected Republican officials who are refusing to do their duty to protect our country. Republicans as a whole are violating their oaths and the law, acting as accessories to the presidents crimes by hindering the congressional hearings.
We are an ally to Ukraine, we are in unending wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and recently Trump betrayed our Kurd allies, demoralizing our military and embarrassing our country. God save America because the Republican party doesn’t seem interested.
“Congressmen who willfully take action during wartime that damages morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled, or hung”
