Guest Opinion: Knowing poetry will pay off

Posted: Wednesday, May 25, 2016 2:26 pm

This past Sunday, 166 Kodiak High School graduating seniors donned cap and gown and, to the strains of Elgar’s “Pomp and Circumstance,” paraded into the high school auditorium for one last time as the KHS class of 2016, which then faded into but a memory. And I would guess that they, like we at that age, felt free at last. The shackles have been lifted.
