First Red Flag fire danger warning of season issued today in Fairbanks

The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for high fire danger in the Fairbanks area from noon to 9 p.m. today.

Temperatures today are expected to climb into the 70s, with relative humidity values between 15% and 20%. Wind is expected to blow from the east at 15 mph, gusting to 25 mph.
