Posted: Wednesday, May 15, 2019 6:03 pm | Updated: 6:31 pm, Wed May 15, 2019.

The large military exercise taking place in Alaska this month includes a communications-jamming component northwest of Delta Junction that people with consumer GPS products may notice on weekday afternoons through May 24.

The military practices with GPS signal jamming so that service members can practice functioning without the technology as they might need to do if an enemy jammed the GPS signal.
