KODIAK — The Kodiak History Museum acquired new artwork for its permanent collection thanks to grant funding from the Rasmuson Foundation and Museums Alaska. The new piece is “Spring Collection 2019,” by Amarie Young, according to a news release.

Young is part of a rising group of young art professionals in the Kodiak community and her work offers a new artistic perspective to the museum collection, according to Margaret Greutert, curator of collections at the museum.
