CG cutter embarks on 3-month trip

KODIAK — The cutter Douglas Munro headed north for a months-long mission last week.

The ship and its 134 crew members will patrol the Gulf of Alaska, the Bering Sea and waters north of the Arctic Circle for about three months, engaging in marine safety missions, search and rescue, fisheries law enforcement, and other tasks.
