City of Kodiak settles suit with former police officer

KODIAK — A lawsuit filed against the City of Kodiak by a former Kodiak police officer was settled after the Kodiak City Council voted to authorize a payment of roughly $56,000 at an April 25 regular meeting. 

In 2015, Michael Chiesa filed a complaint with the Alaska State Commission for Human Rights accusing the city of discriminating against him based on the fact he had a physical disability.
