KODIAK — American President Lines is relocating its offices from a temporary spot on Pier II to a new building at Green Mountain Quarry. The site will also provide the firm with additional space for containers and is one of three container yards for which the firm is currently building electrical infrastructure to become less dependent on diesel fuel for refrigeration.

The structure will include a two story section, which will house offices, and a large open section with space for mechanical work, according to Ted Hansen, Kodiak Island Borough’s building official.
