KODIAK — Two more dead gray whales have been found on Alaska shores, including one reported near Kodiak, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. NOAA Fisheries confirmed that a total of twelve dead whales have now been reported in Alaska so far this year.

NOAA received a report of a juvenile gray whale floating roughly 10 miles south of Egegik, in Bristol Bay, on Friday. The agency received a report of another dead gray whale washed up on the shore of Sitkinak Island, just east of Kodiak Island, on Sunday.
