At 9:20 a.m., Alaska State Troopers received the report of an assault in Old Harbor. Investigation revealed a 37-year-old male resident of Old Harbor assaulted a family member with a dangerous instrument, and caused physical injury to the same family member by means of a dangerous instrument. He was arrested with the assistance of the Old Harbor VPSO on the charges of second- third- and fourth-degree assault.
Friday, March 21
Troopers cited a 29-year-old male resident of Kodiak for using illegal groundfish gear during the state pacific cod season. He was the permit holder onboard the F/V My Beauty. An arraignment date was set for April 7, in Kodiak District Court.
Monday, March 24
• At 5:23 p.m., troopers were investigating a domestic disturbance at a residence off of Lilly Drive. During the investigation, a 62-year-old male resident of Kodiak arrived on scene driving a truck. Subsequent investigation revealed he was driving while impaired and driving with a revoked driver's license. He was arrested for driving under the influence and driving with a revoked license, and transported and remanded to Kodiak Police Department Jail where bail was set at $1,000.
• At 1:25 a.m., hours, wildlife troopers and Kodiak Police Department were dispatched to a residence near Mill Bay beach for a report of a male standing in his driveway with a large knife and Tomahawk threatening to harm himself. Investigation revealed a 29-year-old male resident of Kodiak had assaulted a family member prior to departing the residence with the Tomahawk and knife. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Kodiak jail where he was held on the charge of third-degree assault.
Tuesday, March 25
At 1:46 p.m., troopers contacted a 24-year-old resident of Colorado at the department of motor vehicle office. He was arrested for an outstanding Kodiak Police Department warrant for his arrest and for $250 for failure to appear on an original charge of driving with a revoked license. He was lodged at the Kodiak jail.
