Kodiak Alaska State Troopers are investigating a break-in at the Mill Bay Gas & Go on Rezanof Drive on Monday. 

According to a AST report, suspects pried open a sliding door to gain entry. Once inside, a large hammer was used to break in to the cash drawer of the till. No money was kept on the premise, but the suspects stole six cartons of cigarettes worth about $495.

In addition, the damage to the till and the window is estimated at $300. The investigation is ongoing; anyone with information is asked to contact Kodiak Alaska State Troopers at 486-4121. 


Jan. 22

Kodiak Alaska State Troopers received a report of a hit-and-run vehicle incident on Harry Nielsen Avenue shortly after midnight on Tuesday. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a small blue pickup that likely sustained damage to the front passenger side, including a headlight.

Kodiak AST is requesting anyone who sees a vehicle resembling the one involved in the incident to call 486-4121 or Kodiak Crime Stoppers, with the license plate, description of occupants and direction of travel. Residents should not attempt to make contact with the vehicle or occupants.
