Friday, Oct. 15
• At approximately 9:42 p.m. Kodiak AST received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Benny Benson Drive near Mission. Investigation revealed that a 38-year-old female of Kodiak was driving a white 1992 Eagle Talon northbound on Benny Benson Drive and lost control of the vehicle. She displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI. Her driver’s license was also found to be in a revoked status. She was arrested, but offered money to the arresting officer to release her. She was processed into the Kodiak jail without bail.
Monday, Oct. 18
• At approximately 5:10 p.m. Alaska State Troopers observed a 23-year-old male of Kodiak as passenger of a vehicle entering the Wal-Mart parking lot in Kodiak. He was known by AST to have a $5,000 warrant for his arrest. He was contacted and arrested. He was lodged at the Kodiak Jail to await arraignment.
Tuesday, Oct. 19
• At approximately 2:01 p.m. AST Kodiak received a complaint regarding a reckless driver speeding through an active school zone. The complainant was able to provide AST with a license plate for the suspect vehicle. Investigation led to contact with a 36-year-old female of Kodiak. At the conclusion of the investigation she was arrested and charged with DUI (an A misdemeanor, $500 bail), misconduct involving a weapon 4th Degree (an A misdemeanor, $500 bail), and disorderly conduct (a B misdemeanor, $250 bail). She was remanded to the Kodiak City Jail.
