A 57-year-old male from Kodiak was issued a citation for unlawful storage of commercial groundfish pot gear at Izut Bay. He was summoned to appear in the Kodiak District for arraignment on March 23 at 9:30 a.m.
Tuesday, March 6
At approximately 4:45 p.m. Alaska State Troopers contacted a 47-year-old male of Akhiok, assisting Alaska Adult Probation and Parole by conducting a compliance check of his conditions.
Investigation revealed he was living with multiple firearms present at the residence in violation to his probation/parole conditions.
He was arrested for probation/parole violation and transported to Kodiak where he was remanded to the Kodiak Police Department Jail by his probation officer.
Wednesday, March 7
• At approximately 1:30 a.m. the Ouzinkie VPSO arrested a 28-year-old female of Ouzinkie for assault II/IV while investigating a report of an assault involving a family member. A 43-year-old female of Ouzinkie was additionally charged with disorderly conduct and issued a uniform citation to appear in court at a later date.
The 28-year-old was transported to the Kodiak Police Department Jail where she was remanded without bail.
• At approximately 6 p.m. Alaska State Troopers arrested a 53-year-old male of Larsen Bay for assault in the third degree, misconduct involving a weapon in the fourth degree, and interfering with a report of domestic violence.
He was contacted after his girlfriend reported a disturbance in progress at their home.
He was transported to Kodiak where he was remanded into the KPD Jail with no set bail.
• At approximately 12:25 a.m., AST was notified of an incident of domestic violence at a residence on Lilly Drive. An investigation was initiated regarding an allegation that a female was stabbed and cut by her live-in boyfriend. The injuries sustained were not life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing. Alcohol appears to be a factor.
• At approximately 12:43 p.m. AST conducted a traffic stop on a 35-year-old male of Kodiak as he drove south on Benny Benson Drive. He was contacted due to his involvement in a second-degree assault/domestic violence investigation. During the course of the traffic stop it was determined that he was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and charged with one count of DUI (a class A misdemeanor) and remanded to the Kodiak City Jail. Bail was set at $500.
