At 6:20 p.m., Alaska State Troopers responded to the Kodiak Benny Benson State Airport after receiving a report of a suspicious person in the airport terminal. Investigation led to contact with a 38-year-old female resident of Anchorage who was wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the Fairbanks District Court for failure to appear for a status hearing. She was arrested without incident and remanded to the Kodiak City Jail. Bail for the warrant was $500.
Friday, Feb. 28
A 32-year-old male resident of Kodiak was issued a summons for taking a fox with the aid of an artificial light. He was given an arraignment date in the Kodiak District Court. Troopers seized four fox hides and a headlamp for evidence.
Tuesday, March 4
At 6:17 p.m., troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on a Kodiak roadway. Investigation revealed a 21-year-old male resident of Kodiak was operating a motor vehicle with out a valid license and no vehicle liability insurance. He also violated his conditions of release from a previous criminal case.
He was placed under arrest and transferred to the Kodiak City Jail to be remanded on charges of driving without a license and violating conditions of release without bail pending arraignment. He was also issued citations for a later court date for negligent driving and no liability insurance. No injuries were reported.
Monday, March 3
A 32-year-old male of Kodiak was issued an Alaska uniform citation for failing to report his harvest on his Unit 13 caribou registration permit. Bail was set at $110.
