On June 20, Kodiak AWT contacted Justin Long, 26, of Bloomington, Minn., in a skiff in Uganik Bay. Long did not have a Type 4 throwable PFD aboard the skiff. Long was issued a citation for No Type 4 PFD. Bail was set at $110.

On June 21, at approximately 1:59 p.m., AWT boarded the FV EL Caporal at Bumble Bay during the commercial salmon fishery. Investigation revealed a crewmember, Kelvin Ruben, 22, of Hawaii, failed to possess his 2015 crewmembers license. Ruben was issued a citation for crewmember license required with bail set at $260.00. The captain of the vessel, Eduardo Perez, 26, of Kodiak, was issued a citation for employing an unlicensed crewmember with bail set at $260.00.

On June 21, Kodiak AWT contacted Karl Clapp, 27, of Duball, Wash., aboard F/V Laguna Star. Investigation found Clapp was working as a crewman without a valid 2015 Alaska crewmember’s license in his possession. The operator and permit holder, Timothy Gossett, 60, of Kodiak, was issued a citation for Employing an Unlicensed Crewmember. Clapp was also issued a citation for No Crewmembers License in Possession. Bail was set at $260 for both defendants.

On June 22, Kodiak AWT contacted Kent Evans, 57, of Bethel, in a skiff in Alitak Bay. Evans did not have a Type 4 throwable PFD aboard the skiff. Evans was issued a citation for No Type 4 PFD. Bail was set at $110.

On June 22, Kodiak AWT contacted Glenn Jorgensen, 44, of Washington, in a skiff in Alitak Bay. Jorgensen did not have a PFD for everyone onboard the skiff. Jorgensen was issued a citation for PFD required for each person onboard. Bail was set at $110.

On June 22, Kodiak AWT contacted Bradley Underwood, 63, of Anchorage, in a skiff in Alitak Bay. Underwood did not have a Type 4 throwable PFD aboard the skiff. Underwood was issued a citation for No Type 4 PFD. Bail was set at $110.

On June 22, Kodiak AWT contacted Jeffrey Evans, 19, of Las Vegas, Nev., in a skiff in Alitak Bay. Evans did not have a Type 4 throwable PFD aboard the skiff. Evans was issued a citation for No Type 4 PFD. Bail was set at $110.

On June 23, Kodiak AWT contacted David Kaufman, 32, of Homer, in a skiff in Olga Bay. Kaufman did not have a PFD aboard his skiff. Kaufman was issued a citation for No PFD. Bail was set at $110.

On June 23, AWT contacted the F/V Ella Jane during a commercial fisheries patrol. Investigation revealed the captain Alfred Cratty IV, 25. of Kodiak, had failed to place the vessel license onboard the vessel prior to commercial fishing. Cratty IV was issued a citation for no vessel license present, with bail set at $210.00.

On June 23, Kodiak AWT contacted Michael Nelson, 30, of Kodiak, while commercial fishing aboard the F/V Helen Dell. Investigation found Nelson was acting as the operator and permit holder of the seine vessel, but did not have a photo ID on his person. Nelson was issued a citation for No Photo ID for Permit Holder. Bail was set at $260.

On June 26, AWT contacted Harlen Trosvig, 19, of Kodiak. Investigation revealed Trosvig, who was acting as a sportfish charter deckhand, did not have his 2015 sportfish license in his possession. Trosvig was issued a citation for no sportfish license in posses. Carlson was issued a summons with an arraignment in Kodiak District Court on June 31at 9:30 a.m.

On June 26, Dillingham Wildlife Troopers cited Richard Bell, 55, of Kodiak, on suspicion of operating a commercial drift net which was improperly marked as required. Bell was issued a summons to appear in the Dillingham District Court at a later date and released at the scene.

On June 26, Kodiak AWT contacted Stephen O'Brien, 29, of Kodiak, in a skiff in Larsen Bay. O'Brien did not have a Type 4 throwable PFD aboard his skiff. O'Brien was issued a citation for No Type 4 PFD. Bail was set at $110.

On June 26, Kodiak AWT contacted Thomas Johnson, 68, of Kodiak, aboard F/V Kathy Ann. Investigation found Johnson was operating a subsistence crab pot without proper identification on the buoys and it did not have any bio escape mechanism. Johnson was issued citations for No Gear ID and No Bio Escape Mechanism on subsistence crab gear. Bail was set at $220 total for the offenses.

On June 27, Kodiak AWT contacted Tracy Saksa, 26, of Kodiak, aboard F/V Columbia. Investigation found Saksa was working as a crewman without a valid 2015 Alaska crewmember’s license in his possession. Saksa was issued a citation for No Crewmembers License in Possession. Bail was set at $260.

On June 27, AWT contacted the F/V Charlyda during a commercial fisheries patrol. Investigation revealed the captain, Douglas Waterbury, 54, of Kodiak, had failed to place the vessel license onboard the vessel prior to commercial fishing. Waterbury was issued a citation for no vessel license present, with bail set at $210.00.

On June 28, AWT contacted Joseph Naame, 44, of Kodiak, while he was fishing on the Olds River. Investigation revealed Naame had failed to record a King Salmon he had retained. Naame was issued a citation for failing to record King Salmon/Kodiak. Bail was set at $110.
