Kodiak council indicates budget changes

The Kodiak City Council passed in the second reading a budget for the next fiscal year projecting a $2.2 million deficit and approved a service contract for emergency medical technicians to fill in gaps in personnel.

The city’s fiscal year 2018 budget projects nearly $19.6 million in general fund expenses for the year. Combined expenses for all city funds, excluding capital projects, is projected at $35.2 million.
