The 34th Kodiak Chamber of Commerce Community Clean Up Day took place on Saturday, with participants stopping by the Kodiak High School parking lot to pick up trash bags and choose an area in the community to help clean. By 10 a.m., about 600 bags had been handed out to volunteers, according to Sarah Phillips, the Chamber of Commerce’s executive director. The parking lot also hosted a site for the collection of household hazardous waste for proper disposal.
